Light It Up!
This model is our brightest yet and is another patented revolutionary "rock-like" lighting system designed to easily attach to the top-side of your trim tabs, and like no other underwater lights these are fully adjustable using your trim controls. Easily adaptable to all leveling systems. In addition to the control of beam direction there is no penetration to the hull below the waterline.
Hurley HID Tab Lights are perfectly designed for the hydraulics of water flow. Its streamline design results in stability with no drag. Careful consideration has been made in the selection of materials and components that make up these fixtures. The Polyvinyl Chloride (pvc) housing is tough, chemically resistant synthetic resin made by polymerizing vinyl chloride. Each housing is supplied with a HID Ballast & Xenon Bulb that delivers intense brilliant white light which cuts through the murkiest of water. Brackets are constructed of stainless steel and gray powdered coated allowing for a highly dependable system and will withstand harsh environments. In most cases, our lights can be mounted while the boat is in the water. Battleship Gray, Battleship Tough!
• Can be installed with vessel in the water, in most cases.
• Maintenance free, self-cleaning lens.
• The light output from a 55w HID Xenon lamp is 4x more light than a 55W halogen bulb or equal to 220w. That means four 55w ballasts and bulbs equal 880 watts total at a 18.8 amp. draw.
• The 35w HID Xenon lamp is 3x more light than a 55W halogen bulb and equal to 165w equaling 660 watts total at a 12.8 amp. draw, WOW!
HID vs LED:
HID is the benchmark for light output for either in or out of the water. In theory you would need about 148 watts of LED to get the same effect as a one 55 watt HID bulb. Now, times that by 4. Simply put, the technology in LED's is not there! You get more bang (punch/light output) for your buck with a "Hurley" HID.
Hurley Marine, Inc. is the original designer of the trim tab lights and with our patented design we will be on the block a long time. Beware of pirates! Our research and development (R&D) has allowed us to provide the consumer with the very best in design and quality for versatility and years of enjoyment. Don't be fooled by imitations!
Make sure it says "Hurley".
